Total Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 8 slider sandwiches
16 oz. Ground beef
8 slices Thick cut bacon
1 medium Onion, finely diced
1 Tbsp. Olive oil
1/2 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Anna Mae's Smoky Sweet BBQ Sauce
1/2 cup Extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
8 Pretzel slider rolls, cut in half and toasted
Form ground beef into eight 2 ounce patties. Season with salt on both sides. Let rest 10 minutes. In a small sauce pan over medium heat, add olive oil and diced onion and sauté until onion becomes translucent, about 5 - 10 minutes. Cook bacon according to package directions.
Cook the burgers in a skillet on medium-high heat, about 5 minutes per side or until desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add about 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese to burgers in skillet. Tent skillet with foil to melt the cheese. Remove from heat. Place bottom halves of pretzel rolls on a plate and add a burger to each half. Top each burger with 2 - 3 teaspoons of BBQ sauce, onions, and 1 piece of bacon broken in half, then add the top of the roll. Serve immediately.
